Yvette Franks studied Theatre and Television Production at Loyola University New Orleans, where she also was a resident assistant for two years.  She currently works at a design firm based in Southwark, London.

Prior to embarking on her college career, Yvette graduated from Baton Rouge Magnet High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Her sophomore year of high school was spent at St. Mary's Church of England High School in London, England -- a school of about 1,000 students, founded in 1707.

While in London in 1998, Yvette was confirmed at St. Paul's Cathedral.

A dual citizen of the United States and the Republic of Ireland, Yvette has lived and attended school in the United States (for eight of her years), Ireland (one academic year in primary school), England (one academic year in primary school, much later one in high school), and France (one year in primary school).

In the summer of 1999, Yvette went to Canada where she attended l'Université Sainte-Anne in Pointe-de-l'Église, Nova Scotia, to polish her skills in the French language.

While in middle school back in 1994, Yvette, represented her school in the city-wide oratorical contest sponsored by the Optimist Club.  Yvette won second place in the city-wide competition, being beaten only by her sister, Dominique.  The feat was repeated the following year, 1995, with Yvette again winning second place and her sister first.

Yvette left New Orleans and went to London shortly after hurricane Katrina.  She presently lives in London.
